Every building on the campus was measured and photographed before being built in the computer. We used survey maps to place the buildings and lay out the streets.
The project director picked out his favorite angle for the shot and we used this for outdoor kiosks, brochures and on their web site.
Over the years some buildings are added and some taken away. It is easy to change things when working in 3d, we don't have to start from scratch.
Seeing a map in perspective makes it very easy for people to orient themselves and find their buildings quickly.
